The Handstake Concert 2011 will be held on June 21 at Chowdiah Hall, Bangalore staring 6pm.\nThe concert is being organized by Rattle and Hum Music Society (RHMS) in collaboration with Nagaland University, North East Zone Cultural Zone (NEZCC) and Tourism department, Nagaland, Rolling Stone with Mindlogicx, Bangalore as the chief sponsor.
\nSpeaking to media persons on Wednesday at Dream Caf?, RHMS chief patron Khriehu Liezietsu informed the Handshake Concert was a non-profit event with its chief goal to promote music and culture and goodwill among all citizens of the country, adding \u201cWe stand for bettering friendships and understanding among all people, and hope to achieve this objective- \u201cone handshake at a time\u201d.
\nThe chief patron also revealed plans to organize the next Handshake Concert in 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand.
\nThe artist line up for the show are Pt Vishwa Mohan Bhatt (Grammy Award winner), Soulmate, Melodrama (winner of NSACS Rock Reach 2010), Divine Connection (Winner MTV Desi Beats 2011), Anuradha Pal- Rhythm Queen from Mumbai, Sathya- Chennai, Swarathma- Bangalore, Kenei Chalie and Krukusol? and Vetol? Lohe.
\nRattle and Hum Music Society president, Theja Meru disclosed that entry to the venue will be entirely free where passes would be issued in Bangalore.
\nHe stated the Handshake Concert is being organized under the chairmanship of Prof. K. Kannan- vice chancellor Nagaland University and under the chief patronage of Khriehu Liezietsu, former vice chairman, Kohima Municipal Council.
\nEvent partners are Klas Enterprises, The Heritage, Unitex Inc, Wishing Well Foundation, Dream Caf? with Naga Students Union Bangalore as ground partner. Thejakielie Zuyie, Stage Manager also attended the press briefing.
