John Abraham and Bipasha decided to call it quits after being in a relationship for a decade.  According to sources, the actual split happened mid-February but they decided to keep it away from the media. <\/div>\n
The timing is perfect. Bipasha has moved on and is busy shooting her Hollywood crossover film Singularity and also Abbas Mustan\u2019s Players. She felt it was important for everyone to know after reports of her link up with Josh Hartnett started surfacing. Friends reveal that she had given John the permission to talk about it if he wanted. <\/div>\n
\u201cIt was very obvious when John walked in solo on the sets of Koffee with Karan that they were done, says the source. But he decided to keep shut, only opening up to few of his close friends. With Bips getting close to Josh after his recent break up with his girlfriend Sophia Lie, it was the right time for her to come out in the open. <\/div>\n
Close friends confirm that there was not one but several reasons for the impending split. <\/div>\n
The biggest reason was that John wasn\u2019t ready to settle down. A friend on basis of anonymity spills the beans, \u201c10 years is not a short time. Other couples would have settled down ages ago, but they obviously wanted to focus on their careers and make money. But over the last two years Bipasha was getting increasingly frustrated with his attitude towards their relationship. He had started taking her for granted and it really hurt her.\u201d <\/div>\n
Secondly, Bips was always insecure of John and whenever she would go on outdoors she would get to hear of his growing proximity with either his co-stars (Katrina during New York, Vidya during Salam-e-Ishq) or models. She had grown tired of turning a deaf ear to these whispers. <\/div>\n
Things became extremely awkward when John went on KWK and made statements like he was a \u2018bed breaker\u2019 and his house was a \u2018toll naka\u2019. When Bipasha saw the episode she went red in the face. John had very much made it official that he was single by saying such things. She decided before he would make any more such statements it was time to come out clean. <\/div>\n
However, the biggest blow came when John heard that Bipasha was trying to make her way into Salman\u2019s camp and sending him feelers. <\/div>\n
\u201cHe was hurt that she was trying hard to get a film with Salman. Despite public declaration from John-Salman that they are no longer enemies, the fact remains that they still despise each other. When he confronted Bips she denied and that got him more upset. They would keep having loud verbal arguments with things being thrown around. Friends would try to intervene but to no avail.\u201d <\/div>\n
The source adds that Bipasha had a small party at her pad for Valentines Day. Surprisingly, John showed up as well. But there were no sparks between the two and the visible lack of chemistry became the topic of discussion in their friend circle. <\/div>\n
