It is up to him (Dylan) when he wants to visit Shillong. But I tell you man the moment you expect \u2026 then you are a loser,\u201d said Majaw, who has been religiously celebrating Dylan\u2019s birthday for the past 39 years in Shillong.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\u201cIf he wishes to come, he can come on his own, I am sure he knows where India is and he can easily find where Shillong is,\u201d Majaw said a day after he celebrated Dylan\u2019s birthday.<\/div>\n<div>Majaw, who was introduced to Dylan&#8217;s music in 1966, has been celebrating the legendary singer&#8217;s birthday in Shillong for over three decades.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\u201cWhatever I am doing (celebrating Dylan\u2019s birthday) is because I have so much respect for this man who has moved the lives of many in this planet earth,\u201d he said.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\u201cI have no idea whether Dylan is aware of our salutations to him (Dylan\u2019s birthday celebrations in Shillong), but man you know I was introduced to him (Dylan) in 1966,\u201d said Majaw, who on Tuesday brought eight rock bands from the North Eastern states to celebrate Dylan\u2019s birthday bash in Shillong.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>However, Japer N. Dawson, who travelled all the way from Kanyakumari to Shillong to celebrate the birthday of the American singer felt, \u201cDylan should visit Shillong and celebrate his birthday with his Indian fans.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>\u201cI can tell you, nowhere in the world celebrates Bob Dylan\u2019s birthday like we celebrate his birthday here. I think he should come,\u201d Dawson said as he kept his fingers crossed.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Echoing Dawson, 24-year-old Neha Pradhan, the front band member of Alive from Sikkim, said, \u201cI am sure Dylan knows that he got a huge fan in India. I strongly feel he should visit Shillong where people really celebrated his birthday.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>However, Tinki R.K, the frontman of Cleave, a Manipur-based rockband, threw the idea that all Indian musicians and artists should jointly invite Bob Dylan to come to Shillong.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\u201cSomeone must initiate this idea and I am sure when Dylan receives the invitation, he would surely come to Shillong,\u201d Tinki said.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Majaw brought eight rock bands from the North Eastern states to celebrate Dylan\u2019s birthday bash in Shillong on Tuesday.
