{"id":103285,"date":"2016-08-27T00:07:22","date_gmt":"2016-08-27T00:07:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2016\/08\/27\/nppcl-revival-tajcf-warns-of-indefinite-road-blockade\/"},"modified":"2016-08-27T00:07:22","modified_gmt":"2016-08-27T00:07:22","slug":"nppcl-revival-tajcf-warns-of-indefinite-road-blockade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2016\/08\/27\/nppcl-revival-tajcf-warns-of-indefinite-road-blockade\/","title":{"rendered":"NPPCL revival: TAJCF warns of indefinite road blockade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><\/p>\n<div>Expressing dismay over the lackadaisical attitude towards revival of Nagaland Pulp &amp; Paper Company Limited (NPPCL), the Tuli Area Joint Council Forum (TAJCF) has threatened to launch an indefinite road blockade along NH-61 (Mokokchung to Amguri) from September 1, 2016 if the concerned authority failed to take up any positive measures by August 31.<\/div>\n<div>In a joint statement, TAJCF president, O. Benjung Jamir and secretary, M. Mar Lemtur said that the council had written a letter to the secretary Industries &amp; Commerce on August 1 highlighting the issue of NPPCL. However, TAJCF stated that no positive action was initiated.<\/div>\n<div>In this regard, TAJCF cautioned that \u201cif no action\/reply\u201d is made by August 31, the council would impose the road blockade along NH-61, as a first phase agitation.<\/div>\n<div>In the event of any untoward incident during the agitation, TAJCF stated that the forum should not be held responsible.<\/div>\n<div>Further, TAJCF has requested the public to extend full cooperation.<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">NPPC workers\u2019 union writes to CM<\/span><\/div>\n<div>In another statement, NPPCL workers\u2019 union has sought clarification from the chief minister with regard to the amount sanctioned by Government of India for revival of the Tuli Paper mill.<\/div>\n<div>In an open letter to the chief minister, NPPCL Workers\u2019 Union president, Noklenlemba and general secretary S.K. Das while acknowledging the chief minister\u2019s concern and intervention towards revival of the paper mill, however urged the chief minister to \u201cconfirm\u201d whether government of India had released Rs. 12 crore out of the Rs. 30 crore to Hindustan Paper Corporation for revival of Tuli paper mill.
