The resource person was Akangtola Ao lecturer, St. John College. &nbsp;In her address, the resource person said \u2018World Environment Day\u2019 was an important day to understand and educate environmental issues that is being faced by the planet today. &nbsp;She told students that it was time to appreciate and show appreciation to the environment for providing and protecting living organisms thus far. &nbsp; \u201cWe have to know, how the environment is helping us, apart from providing food to those living organisms, it saves us from natural calamities\u201d, said Akangtola. &nbsp;She further urged the students to take the lead to protect and take care of the forest and organisms. &nbsp;\u201cWhen we all practice activities protecting the nature, it would be good for the next generation\u201d, she added. &nbsp;The programme was followed by mid-day meal. &nbsp;Earlier, chairman VEC, M. Panger gave away the prizes to the winners of the painting competition. &nbsp; &nbsp;Welcome address was delivered by head teacher, K.
