As part of extensive drainage cleaning work, sanitation branch of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) cleared a drain behind Ragailong colony, Dimapur starting from Monday June 6. It is one of the main drainages of the city that flows into Dhansiri River. Advisor in-charge of sanitation Lepshi Ao lamented that public do not have any concern for nullahs\/drains and because of rampant dumping of wastes into the drains it gets blocked and overflows with wastes during rainy season. He appreciated GBs and chairman of the colony for extending cooperation towards DMC. Advisor Er. Vikholie Nienu who was present at the work site, said first of all public should develop civic sense in order to bring about total cleanliness in the city.
