Acharya asked the authorities to lay more emphasis on the extension project and develop a well-concerted railway connectivity in Nagaland. Governor also asked the general manager NF railways to incorporate Dimapur in the \u2018clean train stations\u2019 category along with Katihar, New Jalpaiguri and Guwahati.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He further asked the railway authorities to create more ticket counters in Dimapur to cater to the needs of the passengers. Governor had called the general manager along with the other officers of the railways at Raj Bhawan to know about the railway\u2019s performance in North East including various ongoing projects that NFR has undertaken for the people of the region.<\/div>\n<div>Acharya asked the GM and other officers to be more people-friendly and upgrade services as per the need of the passengers.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He also advocated that the railway authorities should make use of the latest technologies to improve upon the services of the railways. Governor also said that all the model stations should have all modern amenities including all technological solutions for the convenience of the railway commuters.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Acharya asked the officers to make co-operative societies to make railways an industry driven by the power of the people and help railways play a constructive role for the empowerment of the society. He also advised the general manager to conceive new marketing policies which would create emotional integration among all the geographical entities that the railways traverse.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Governor also asked the officials to tie up with the Universities for skill education.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Moreover, Acharya urged upon the officers to be proactive in solving various issues and expedite the execution of the development projects on a fast track basis for the benefit of the people of the North East.<\/div>\n<div>NFR earn Rs 15 crore from ticketless travellers: The Railways collected Rs 15 crore in fines in the first four months of the current fiscal from ticketless travellers in the North East.<\/div>\n<div>NFR registered over two lakh cases of ticketless or improper travel in April-July, NFR\u2019s Chief Public Relations Officer Pranav Jyoti Sharma said on Wednesday.
