Tenyimi peoples\u2019 organization (TPO) Friday asserted it has resolved to defend, protect and preserve the Ntangki National Park \u201cat any cost\u201d. TPO also decided that it, along with ZLR Baudi and \u201ctraditional land owner\u201d, would take up any legal battle in any court of law and take up democratic measures or political steps to protect\/preserve Park as and when situation\/need arises. This was resolved at a joint meeting with Zeliangrong Baudi and \u201ctraditional land owner\u201d (Old Beisumpui village) June 16 at Jalukie town, TPO said. The meeting also resolved that \u201call land encroachers\/intruders\u201d inside the Park must vacate immediately, while recognizing that delicate biodiversity resource within Ntangki National Park must not be destroyed further by anyone for their selfish interest. They further resolved to reaffirm that Zeliangrong Baudi Nagaland as a constituent unit of the TPO has entrusted the TPO to intervene in the present issue of illegal encroachment in Ntangki National Park for protection and preservation of the Park, legally, politically and democratically in the best interest of the Tenyimi people and Nagas in general. Further, the joint meeting resolved that no village shall be recognized within the jurisdiction of Tenyimi land without prior consent of concerned constituent unit of the TPO. The house resolved to acknowledge and reaffirmed that Beisumpui village is the traditional and original land owner of Ntangki National Park. \u201cResolved to respect and acknowledge the traditional boundaries of each respective constituent unit\/tribe of TPO and to call upon all other fellow Naga tribes to follow suit from henceforth,\u201d stated a joint release issued by TPO president Z.M Sekhose, TPO general secretary Benjamin Lorin, ZLB (Nagaland) president K. Akhang, speaker D. Abraham and old Beisumpui.village chairman Rangtalak. <\/p>\n
