 Sumi Baptist Churches Association had established an Urban Ministry with a vision to reach out the lost souls in the year 2011, with its main office at Dimapur.  <\/span><\/div>\n
The ministry particularly aims at reaching the group of people were yet to hear about salvation\/sacrificial message of God\u2019s grace.  <\/div>\n
The ministry based in Dimapur required a proper church for which the construction of the church building was undertaken and dedicated on August 7, 2016. <\/div>\n
Chairman of SBAK Urban Ministry, Zhekuto Zhimo in his report acknowledged Ghokhevi Chophy who had generously donated a plot of land measuring 70\u00d750 at Half Nagarjan, United Colony for construction of Church building. <\/div>\n
He also presented a detailed report of donors who contributed several other construction materials and technical supports etc. In conclusion, Zhimo applauded their generosity and said, \u201cwithout their timely help, the vision to have this church building would have remain just a mere dream\u201d.<\/div>\n
Executive secretary Rev. Dr. Joshua Rochill, speaking at the dedicatory program cited \u201cthe Korean Cold war incident which led to annihilation of all property in both South and North Korea\u201d. He went on mentioning, \u201chow prayer has helped the growth of South Korean nation and South Korea\u2019s involvement in contemporary mission works\u201d.<\/div>\n
He therefore, encouraged and challenged the congregation to be, \u201cthoroughly involved in prayers\u201d and recited a quote, \u201ca prayer church is a living church\u201d; he however, lamented that, \u201ctoday\u2019s churches give less emphasis on prayer, where most worship services timings are spent in other activities which isn\u2019t helpful for the spiritual growth\u201d. Rev Dr. Joshua pointed the vision of \u201cPhilippi Church\u201d that partnered Paul in fulfilling the Lord\u2019s command from the very first day Paul entrusted them.  Rev Dr. Joshua, thus concluded with mentioning few of his friends who were prospering so well in their respective ministries which he believe are through the \u201cpower of prayers\u201d and urged the same newly dedicated \u201cUrban Church\u201d to make it in the list of churches that had proved against all odds, sustaining and prospering through prayers.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
