Responding to the MIP, GPRN\/NSCN, spokesman for the NSCN (Khaplang) P. Tikhak reasserted that chairman S.S. Khaplang was a fatherly figure  not only to Nagas but to almost all revolutionary organizations in the \u201cso-called north east India\u201d with as much hold as before.  On Kitovi Zhimomi allegedly criticizing Khaplang, Tikhak, pointed out that Kitovi (general secretary GPRN\/NSCN) grew up as Sectional Officer (SO) to Khaplang before appointment as defence secretary then inducted into the council of kilonsers as deputy kilonser. He said Khaplang \u2018handpicked\u2019 Kitovi for the \u201cmost coveted post of \u2018ato-Kilonser\u2019 over other kilonsers who were more senior than him, after the untimely death of then \u2018ato Kilonser\u2019 Dally Mungro. Saying this was done as a \u201cgood will gesture to our Sema brethrens, Tikhak said that \u201ctrying to insult a man who had groomed him from his tender age, is equally insulting to parents.\u201d Dismissing the statement by the MIP,  described as  \u201cthe breakaway group\u201d Tikhak said it was unfortunate that they were engaged in a spat in the print media to prove one was superior to the other but in the process not only reducing the \u201cactual Naga political movement\u201d but also \u201cmaking a mockery of it.\u201d Further he said it was unfortunate that \u201csome of our friends\u201d were taking the Naga movement \u201cas their own property\u201d and at the same time, \u201ctaking the Naga people for a ride.\u201d Tikhak said it may be easier to \u201cfool a man like Khole who is in his 90s but at least, not every Naga.\u201d  Referring to erstwhile comrades, Tikhak said \u201ctoday you are shooting from Khole\u2019s shoulder\u201d but warned it won\u2019t be long before their identities were exposed. He said neither had the GPRN nor chairman S.S. Khaplang consented to making Khehoi as Council Headquarter as it was as much a designated camp as other camps of the outfit. Therefore, Tikhak said conducting the national hoho in Khehoi was in itself \u201cunconstitutional\u201d and that a few groups of people \u201cfrom one or two community don\u2019t make a national hoho\u201d.  He termed the convening of the hoho in Khehoi as \u201ca face saving activity of Kitovi, who was questioned for his inefficiency in dealing with the national issues.\u201d On Naga reconciliation, he said \u201cit must be a gift of God\u201d after more than two decades of bloodshed among Nagas. Tikhak said Khaplang appointed Wangtin Naga to hold preliminary discussions with other groups and later sign the Covenant of Reconciliation (CoR) showing Khaplang\u2019s \u201cwillingness to stop killings among Nagas.\u201d He affirmed that no human being would be happy with violence but when challenged, one was bound to defend oneself \u201cand it is exactly what happened with us.\u201d On killings after signing of the CoR. Tikhak asked Kitovi and Khole, to give justification for the killing of \u2018capt\u2019 Ngampang in Tirap, whose body was \u201cthrown in the river\u201d; Zaremo Lotha who was \u201cpicked  up\u201d while asleep with his wife and children and physically tortured to death, despite fervent pleas by his wife to spare his life.  Further he asked the duo, if the shooting incident at Namsa \u201con NSCN cadre Omwang Konyak\u201d where a stray bullet hit a school girl, was justified, on the eve of reconciliation meeting? He asked if the brutal torture of Ahoshe, \u201can NSCN Khapur\u201d at Chumukedima after the September 18, 2010 meeting (leaders at the highest level) and setting ablaze of 100 huts in eastern Nagaland, were acts of reconciliation? He asked whether decamping of nine (9) arms by the NSCN (I-M) from Regori camp was appreciable while talking of reconciliation? Tikhak dared Khole and Kitovi to \u201cgive justice to all those lost souls\u201d then he would be prepared to agree to whatever they say. Tikhak hit out saying that Nagas may not be that na\u00efve to fail to understand, \u201cwho is for real reconciliation and who are for life-saving reconciliation\u201d. He said was it not   Kitovi who asked Khaplang to drop 30,000 bullets to Khehoi on Septmber 12, 2010 at 6.30 p.m.?   While asserting that \u201ca hundred lies cannot cover a single truth\u201d, Tikhak accused the MIP (GPRN\/NSCN) of labeling him as \u201ca Khasi\u201d on one hand and a general secretary of the Achik National Volunteer Council (ANVC). He asked how can a Khasi become an Achik(Garo) \u201cwhen he or she is neither of it\u201d. Dismissing it as \u201ccompletely baseless and without an iota of truth\u201d, Tikhak said detractors neither have a political agenda or vision and instead   lost their mental stability and confused themselves.

\n\u2018Declaration of loyalty\u2019 <\/span>
\nIn another development, \u2018Maj.Gen\u2019 Niki Sumi, People\u2019s Army of Nagaland issued a clarification \u201cso as to dispel any misconceptions\u201d in the light of \u201cunprecedented leadership crisis and subsequent commotion\u201d created recently. In the statement, \u2018maj. gen\u2019 Niki, declared \u201cunequivocal loyalty\u201d and reiterated faith in the leadership of S.S.Khaplang chairman and president NSCN\/GPRN. \u2018Maj.Gen\u2019Niki said the declaration was \u201cwith a very clear conscience\u201d and also taking into account, the historical bond Nagas share that needed to be preserved \u201cirrespective of artificially imposed boundaries\u201d.  He claimed that the \u201cprevailing formation of various military units spread across Naga territory\u201dremained intact and would continue as such \u201ctill further order\u201d. \u201cMaj.Gen\u2019Niki claimed that the following formations remained intact  Urban command, Kohima (cdr \u2018maj\u2019Kivizu Achumi); designated camp, Suruhuto (cdr \u2018maj\u2019Akaho Zhimo); designated camp, Athibung; Chakhesang region (cdr, \u2018lt.col\u2019 Visesayi); Ao region (cdr \u2018lt col\u2019 Chuba Ao); Sumi region; Tisary region and mobile-5 (cdr \u2018lt col\u2019 Kurichu); Somra tract; designated camp Sangphur (\u2018maj\u2019Chumato & \u2018maj\u2019Shikaho); 2nd brigade (cdr \u2018col\u2019Yanphu) and 3rd brigade (cdr \u2018maj. gen\u2019Niki Sumi) <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
