{"id":10599,"date":"2011-06-25T01:06:42","date_gmt":"2011-06-25T01:06:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2011\/06\/25\/jalukielo-village-reacts\/"},"modified":"2011-06-25T01:06:42","modified_gmt":"2011-06-25T01:06:42","slug":"jalukielo-village-reacts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2011\/06\/25\/jalukielo-village-reacts\/","title":{"rendered":"Jalukielo village reacts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Reacting to the version of Ghowoto village in the report \u201cJalukielo, Ghowoto villagers clash\u201d, published in local daily June 22, the Jalukielo village Friday said it carried \u201ccontradictory statement deviating facts and circumstantial evidences.\u201d Jalukielo village chairman Heizieying said on the day, while Jalukielo villagers were constructing a village approach road, attackers, \u201cnow identified as so-called Ghowoto villagers,\u201d under the cover of bushes, ambushed the villagers and fled after seriously injuring two Jalukielo villagers. He said had the Jalukielo villagers retaliated, as was alleged in the media, the Ghowoto villagers \u201cwould have been surrounded and caught unaware.\u201d &nbsp; Heizieying accused \u201creal encroachers and the experts of truth-twister had done it once again, by distorting the ground reality.\u201d He said since Jalukielo never accused anyone without proof, the media was told that the \u201cattackers\u201d were \u201cunidentified group of people\u201d. He said since the \u201cassailants have now openly admitted their identity in the media\u201d no stone would be left unturned to give a \u201cbefitting lesson\u201d so as to prove \u201cour obligation in safeguarding our land from the hands of illegal encroachers.\u201d He also vowed to uphold allegiance towards the land owner (old Jalukie Village) in particular, and the Zeliangrong community in general and never to submit to any force that obstruct their rights. &nbsp;He said Jalukielo villagers were now left with no option but to \u201cpaw our iron hands on our aggressors\u201d that could even \u201cintensify communalism and bloodshed in our Naga society.\u201d Pointing out that every Naga tribe has its own distinct demarcated domain which was accepted by all, he termed accusation by Ghowoto in calling Jalukielo villagers as \u201cencroachers\u201d held no water and \u201cdisgusting\u201d as \u201cevery sensible Nagas are fully aware of \u2018who is who\u2019 in Nagaland.\u201d He said Ghowoto\u2019s \u201cbaseless comments and unprofessional fabrication of the truth\u201d was a mockery, implying its readiness to aggravate and disturb the hard-earned peaceful coexistence but that Zeliangrongs were prepared to protect their God given land. He said &nbsp; restraint and tolerance of Jalukielo was with the hope that encroachers would \u201cback and pack up\u201d but instead they took these as signs of weakness where \u201cwe eventually become victims\u201d.
