Zeliang on his way to Peren to attend the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting, met with the Ao Telongjem of Jalukie Town area along with Hindu office bearers and Mon-Tuensang elders on July 22. \nZeliang while meeting the leaders and public and emphasized on the good relationship of his people with the other tribes living in Jalukie town.
\nTerming the Aos as \u201cGod\u2019s chosen people\u201d, Zeliang suggested the Ao\u2019s living in the area to take initiative to guide the people in all possible ways both theoretically and practically,
\nHe also extended his gratitude to the people saying he was proud of the people of the area for supporting him and hoped their support would increase in the days to come.
\nWith regard to rumors, propagandas that often mislead the people; he called upon the gathering to know how to differentiate it from facts and to extend their support to him for the success of any programme.
\nHe also said that peace was the only way for peaceful coherence and urged people to give peace a chance.<\/p>\n
