The state BJP general secretary (admn) Yambos Murry, in a statement, queried what was making the government go unnoticed the extortions, bomb blasts, rapes, killings, kidnappings and threats on innocent lives. \u201cWhere are the government and the law agency? Is this the way to run the government,\u201d the party general secretary asked. Asserting that people gave mandate to NPF for two successive terms to rule the state, the BJP said however the NPF-led government instead of doing justice was indulging in undue political advantage which has created a division within the Naga society. BJP said the larger question was how responsible government was unable to handle the state of affairs and why has the government failed to deliver justice to its people. The reason, it said was government\u2019s ineffective policy that has destroyed the good atmosphere and \u201caffecting the common public sentiments\u201d.<br \/>\nThe state BJP unit alleged that the NPF, which was engaged in launching its wing in neighbouring states, was utilizing entire government machineries. On public distribution system (PDS), the BJP said it was extremely worried about the role of minister food and civil supplies. It said as per records all essential commodities were being lifted regularly every month for distribution but alleged it was being siphoned, which was meant for public. Asserting that beneficiaries were being allotted only two items &#8211; 2 kg sugar and 2 liter S.K. oil, the BJP said rest item such as rice and atta was completely cut off from ration card. It demanded that chief minister clarify the anomaly that was taking place as it fell under his portfolio.
