These villages are in proximity to the Suruhuto designated camp.At Aichi Saghemi, which is about 5 kilometers from Suruhuto Town, one “major” Inakhu of GPRN/NSCN (Khole) along with 55 armed cadres have been stationed for over a week.
The muscle flexing has heightened fears of a likely turf war over domination of Zunheboto district.
In the aftermath of the June 7 meeting at Khehoi, the Sumi Region of the GPRN/NSCN had affirmed loyalty to NSCN/GPRN (Khaplang) but this was immediately refuted by the Khole faction.
Though there was no danger of immediate confrontation between the two rival groups, the district administration and paramilitary forces in Zunheboto have taken precautionary measure to ensure that the Ceasefire Ground Rules were adhered to by both groups. The source said IRB and Assam Rifles were patrolling the areas.
It may be recalled that the Sumi Hoho asked all cadres to vacate civilian populated areas and return to their respective designated camps.
When contacted, a senior leader of the GPRN/NSCN claimed the cadres were only on routine movement within the region and had no intention of resorting to armed conflict especially when both have committed to the CoR. He however cautioned that GPRN/NSCN would not remain “silent” if provoked by the “breakaway” group though it would abide by the CoR.
On the other hand, NSCN/GPRN (Khaplang) has accused the “Khehoi campers” of succumbing to the “designs of GOI’s, Ministry of Home Affairs to “sideline” Khaplang from the Naga mainstream “to enjoy piece meal solution with the NSCN (IM).”
Spokesman of NSCN/GPRN (Khaplang) told this correspondent that the GPRN/NSCN (Khole) was “specifically” told to “either vacate Khehoi camp and follow its (GOI) diktat” or “be compelled to succumb to NSCN (IM).”
The spokesman claimed that the government of India, currently holding negotiations with the NSCN (I-M), was faced with the hurdle to “guarantee permanent solution to the Indo-Naga political conflict” as long as the NSCN (K) stuck sovereignty and Khaplang remained its leader and “provides bases, logistics and strategic assistance to north east rebels.”
The spokesman claimed that India was wary of threats posed by rebels having links with China especially as the Chinese were increasing activities along the border. He alleged that “the MHA through the directives of GOI connived with few leaders from Khehoi camp, staged the impeachment drama so that these leaders could be part of the piece meal solution with the GOI and the NSCN (IM).”
The NSCN/GPRN (Khaplang) spokesman the event as “a total treachery, betrayal and a mockery to the decades long Naga struggle which has taken the precious lives of thousands of freedom fighters”

For More Updates, follow us on

 and

As the war of words continue in the media between the erstwhile GPRN/NSCN, reports received here said that GPRN/NSCN (Khole) has stationed its cadres within the vicinity of Suruhuto designated camp, under Zunheboto district occupied by NSCN/GPRN (Khaplang) cadres.
