Inter Media Publicity Coordination Committee (IMPCC) Nagaland Chapter held its monthly meeting with the media heads of central government departments Thursday at Regional Office of the Directorate of Field Publicity, Kohima.<\/p>\n
Addressing the meeting, director engineering AIR, Kohima said that the IMPCC was a good platform to highlight the activities of various departments and Government. <\/p>\n
Calling on the need for inclusive and shared information, director engineering emphasized on the need to let news and useful information about various government welfare schemes percolate to the grass-root level.<\/p>\n
Suggesting the need to highlight more local activities, the director engineering said Media organizations should constantly evolve so as to effectively disseminate information to the grassroots by simplifying technicalities and \u201cglobalizing\u2019 information and communication, which will cater to local needs. <\/p>\n
Speaking during the meeting, AIR, news editor, Subharanjan Buragohain suggested the need to come out with a new morning English bulletin. <\/p>\n
He said this new initiative would cater to the needs of listeners who do not have access to local dailies. <\/p>\n
The news editor also added that the morning English news would also substantiate the local dailies.
\nPresenting the departmental activities report Production Assistant and DDK Kohima representative, H.K. Chishi, opined that more representation of key implementing departments and agencies would be productive as they could propose publicity requirements to various media houses on focus issues.

\nThe vice chairman of IMPCC (Nagaland chapter), N. Kaimang Chang chaired the meeting. Officials from AIR, Kohima, DDK Kohima, DFP, PIB and Defence PRO attended the co-ordination meeting. <\/p>\n
