Hetoi and Zuheshe.<\/p>\n<p>While welcoming the officials and farmers, Hozheto K. Choppy, head GB, of the host village expressed gratitude and appreciation to the department of agriculture and officials of Niuland sub-division for organizing the programme at the village level by considering the farmer\u2019s convenience and imparting the basic knowledge on the subject by themselves which was of recent issues at right location and right season as needed.<\/p>\n<p>Special features on characteristics of rodents: Life cycle and multiplications; habitat and damages and control measures involving different management practices were deliberated by SDAO, Niuland, Hewoto Sema, who was the resource person.<\/p>\n<p>Asheto, AO, explained some of the safety measures in handling the poisonous rodenticides and other PP chemicals while applying in the field and at human dwelling places.<\/p>\n<p>The daylong training which was chaired by Vitoshe, AO, was attended by 60 numbers of farmers including the extension functionaries and concluded with a vote of thanks by Shekheto Chishi, Sr. AFA, and distribution of of rodenticides to all the participants.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A farmer\u2019s training on rodent pest management was organized under Niuland on June 26 at Zuheshe village as a centre for all the farmers of neighbouring villages including Henito, Hezheto, K.
