ATMA Wokha Wozhuro\/Ralan block established rubber farm school at New Ralan on June 22 with the concept of learning by doing as well as seeing and harvesting. Resource person M. Zuthunglo E\/rui, BTT convener (W\/Ralan block) spoke on farm school concept, role and responsibilities. <\/p>\n
Altogether 16 farmers were enrolled with Thungbemo Humtsoe as the achiever farmer.Earlier, Y.N. Kikon, pastor (New Ralan) dedicated the rubber farm school and short speech was delivered by Dr. Mhonchan Shitiri, PD (ATMA, Wokha). <\/p>\n
Training on rubber plantation was also conducted at New Ralan where resource persons Chichanbeni Yanthan, AFA (SDAO office, Baghty) and Subenthung Humtsoe (LRD,Wokha) trained the farmers on packages of practices and management of rubber plantation. <\/p>\n
The farmers were also encouraged to grow rubber in such areas which were not cultivable to avoid crop productivity problem in the near future. Altogether 32 farmers from Ralan block attended the training programme. <\/p>\n
On June 25, field day on banana was conducted for the SHG\u2019s under women in agriculture at Humtso village. <\/p>\n
