{"id":113914,"date":"2012-07-04T00:16:53","date_gmt":"2012-07-04T00:16:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2012\/07\/04\/huge-imfl-consignment-seized-in-kohima\/"},"modified":"2012-07-04T00:16:53","modified_gmt":"2012-07-04T00:16:53","slug":"huge-imfl-consignment-seized-in-kohima","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2012\/07\/04\/huge-imfl-consignment-seized-in-kohima\/","title":{"rendered":"Huge IMFL consignment seized in Kohima"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Mobile Quick Reaction Team (MQRT) of 16 Assam Rifles (AR) detected and seized a huge consignment of IMFL and apprehended at least six persons from New Market area, Kohima during wee hours, Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the truck driver, S K Khan from Imphal, the truck was reportedly coming from Byrnihat Meghalaya and the consignment of soft drinks was to reach Imphal.<\/p>\n<p>An FIR submitted to SP, Excise Kohima, stated that the MQRT under the command of Tej Man Gurung, Nb\/Sub, 16 AR intercepted the truck (MN 06-T 0363) at New Market area around 1 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>On searching the truck, the IMFL consignment consisting 295 cases of Beer, 30 cases of Mc Whisky, 11 cases of Vodka (Romanov) and a case of Mc Rum were found concealed between stock of soft drinks (Maaza) on both sides as well as on top and the truck was covered with tarpaulin. <\/p>\n<p>The consignment was supposed to be unloaded near New Market area and then brought to a store in a local taxi for further sale, said the FIR. <\/p>\n<p>At least six persons including the driver, his assistant Morul and four other labourers were apprehended in connection with the case and later handed over to the Excise Department for further investigation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mobile Quick Reaction Team (MQRT) of 16 Assam Rifles (AR) detected and seized a huge consignment of IMFL and apprehended at least six persons from New Market area, Kohima during wee hours, Tuesday.
