Speaking to Nagaland Post, SP Kohima, Joseph Hesso, said a case has been registered and samples have been taken for examination. He said that so far there was no concrete evidence against any person.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>AYO demands compensation&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Angami Youth Organization (AYO) has appealed to the district authority to take proper assessment of the terraced fields damaged by oil spill and compensate the affected farmers accordingly at the earliest. In a press note, AYO vice president Kekhrievolie Keyho and AYO general secretary Rokoketou Sech\u00fc said it has taken serious note on the oil spill since the land affected has become uncultivable.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Alleging that damaging of standing crops intentionally was a \u201ccurse\u201d and \u201cgena\u201d in Angami Naga customs, the AYO has appealed to the district administration and police to book the culprit (s) involved and award befitting punishment.<\/div>\n<div>Further, AYO asked the fuel dealers including the owners and association to \u201cown the responsibility to find out the culprit among them as the action directly involves them\u201d. &nbsp;Failing which, the youth organization warned that it would initiate its own course of action where all concerned might be affected.&nbsp;<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With regard to the mystery oil spill on paddy fields at Jotsoma village, the Kohima police have informed that the FIR has been filed with Sech\u00fc Zubza Police Station the case was under investigation.
