Therie claimed that RSS and BJP were \u201csystematically destroying the democratic institutions\u201d, adding that the growing of BJP was \u201cdangerous to the nation and especially to the minority communities like us.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Theire said the party cond emned the attitude of the BJP government for \u201csystematically destroying the democratic institutions.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Stating that BJP Nagaland state unit has been voicing against JNU for \u201canti-national slogan\u201d raised allegedly made by democratic student union (DSU) president at JNU on February 9, 2016, the NPCC said DSU was a student wing organization of the CPM, which believed in the ideology of Maoism.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>According to state Congress, DSU had called a meeting on the issue of capital punishment (Hanging to death) as they believed that capital punishment was against humanity and should not be applied anymore, be it Afzal Guru and Mumbai bomb blast convict Yakub Memon or on anyone in future.<\/div>\n<div>NPCC said permission was granted for peaceful meeting to be organised at the Badminton Stadium within JNU compound. However, fearing reaction, they were asked not to use mics and they agreed accordingly.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Meantime, NPCC said the ABVP (RSS and BJP wing of student union under JNU) filed an application demanding withdrawal of permission and the JNU administration withdrew the permission.<\/div>\n<div>However, the Congress said by that time, students from outside mostly from J&amp;K had also gathered along with DSU members. In the course of time, NPCC said it appeared the ABVP members also marched to the area and challenged them through provocative slogans.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Maintaining that DSU has denied that having raised \u201canti-national slogans\u201d, NPCC said \u201cThey allege that the TV channel film was doctored. We never know\u2026\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Further, alleging that while RSS has been attacking educational institutions such as FII, TERI and many other institutions, NPCC said the BJP\u2019s ministers have been advocating that the Gita should be declared as the National Holy Book.<\/div>\n<div>Also, pointing out that JNU was founded in the name of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru whose philosophy was social, secular and democratic, the state Congress said \u201cNow ABVP\u2019s demand is that JNU should be shut down.\u201d<\/div>\n<div>Accusing RSS chief of saying that the tri-colour National Flag was not required and should be replaced by saffron colour, NPCC president asked \u201cShould we support such a move?
