{"id":117180,"date":"2012-07-04T21:26:12","date_gmt":"2012-07-04T21:26:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2012\/07\/04\/oz-politician-kristina-keneall-fuming-after-being-likened-to-kim-kardashian\/"},"modified":"2012-07-04T21:26:12","modified_gmt":"2012-07-04T21:26:12","slug":"oz-politician-kristina-keneall-fuming-after-being-likened-to-kim-kardashian","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2012\/07\/04\/oz-politician-kristina-keneall-fuming-after-being-likened-to-kim-kardashian\/","title":{"rendered":"Oz politician Kristina Keneall fuming after being likened to Kim Kardashian"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/QXDLDVVSFHPVTJRPMXUH.jpg>New South Wales\u2019 top politician, Kristina Keneally has been left \u201churt and distressed\u201d after she was compared to Kim Kardashian in a newspaper, her husband has revealed.<\/p>\n<p>Ben Keneally made an official complaint to the Australian Press Council after \u2018The Australian Financial Review\u2019s\u2019 \u2018Rear Window\u2019 column by Joe Aston referred to his wife as \u201creality TV premier Kristina \u201cKim Kardashian\u201d Keneally in March.<\/p>\n<p>The jibe had been originally made by the now Premier Barry O\u2019Farrell in parliament a month earlier, when he declared that the \u201cGovernment by Kim Kardashian is over.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Keneally\u2019s complaint, comparing his wife to the reality star, who found fame after making a sex tape made her upset because of Kardashian\u2019s \u201cnegative reputation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, the APC disagreed and had rejected Keneally\u2019s complaint on Thursday.<br \/>\nMoreover, it wasn\u2019t the first time that an O\u2019Farrell\u2019s gag had appeared in the paper\u2019s column. But according to Keneally\u2019s complaint, the columnist went too far on the fourth occasion.<\/p>\n<p>Aston \u201chad not merely reported O\u2019Farrell\u2019s comment, but had endorsed it,\u201d News.com.au quoted Keneally as saying.<br \/>\nHe also said that the reference was \u201cdeliberately offensive and hostile to women in politics\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Sunday Telegraph, Aston insisted that his column was \u201csatirical\u201d and poked fun at politicians from all parties.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirstly, in the item where I referred to Keneally as Kim Kardashian, I referred to Liberal Minister Brad Hazzard as a buffoon,\u201d Aston said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have also called John Howard \u2018a rodent\u2019 and Tony Abbott \u2018the Mad Monk\u2019. Everyone gets a ribbing,\u201d he added.<br \/>\nKeneally said he was happy with the process taken by the APC but not with the result.
