\nFebruary will begin with the release of romantic-drama \u2018Sanam Teri Kasam\u2019. Helmed by director duo Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, the film stars Harshvardhan Rane and Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane. On the Valentine\u2019s Day weekend, \u2018Sanam Re\u2019 will release on February 12. The romantic-drama, directed by Divya Khosla Kumar, stars actor Pulkit Samrat and actress Yami Gautam in lead roles while Rishi Kapoor and Urvashi Rautela are there as supporting cast. Filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor\u2019s romantic drama \u2018Fitoor\u2019 will also release on the same Friday. The film stars Katrina Kaif, Aditya Roy Kapur and Tabu, and is based on Charles Dickens\u2019 novel \u201cGreat Expectations\u201d.
\nBesides, there will be a clash among three romantic films on February 19. \u2018Loveshhuda\u2019, the romantic-comedy starring Girish Kumar and 2013 Miss India winner Navneet Kaur Dhillon, will release on that day.
\nThe other two romantic films releasing on the same date are – \u2018Direct Ishq\u2019 featuring Rajniesh Duggall, Nidhi Subbaiah and Arjun Bijlani, and Ishq Forever\u201d, which stars Ruhi Singh (who made her debut in Madhur Bhandarkar\u2019s \u2018Calendar Girls) and Lisa Ray. \u2018Love Shagun\u2019, which stars Anuj Sachdeva and Nidhi Subbaiah, will release on the last Friday of February. Meanwhile, there are reports that Rajniesh Duggall-Sunny Leone starrer \u2018Beiiman Love\u2019, which was slated to release this February, has been pushed to a later date.
\nActor Adhyayan Suman\u2019s \u2018Luckhnowi Ishq\u2019 with Karishma Kotak was also scheduled to release next month. However, it is unclear when the film will now hit the screens. Last year, only Ayushmann Khurrana-Bhumi Pednekar starrer \u2018Dum Laga Ke Haisha\u2019 was released in February. During the V-Day weekend and a week later, films like \u2018Roy\u2019 and \u2018Badlapur\u2019 were released which belonged to the thriller -revenge drama genre.
\nOther big ticket romantic films to be released around Valentine\u2019s Day over the last few years, have been Parineeti Chopra\u2019s \u201cHasee Toh Phasee\u201d, Emraan Hashmi\u2019s erotic-thriller \u2018Murder 3\u2019, Kareena Kapoor-Imran Khan starer \u2018Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu\u2019 and \u2018Tanu Weds Manu\u2019. The biggest Valentine\u2019s Day release in the last few years involving a superstar was Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer \u2018My Name Is Khan\u2019, which hit the screens on February 12, 2010.<\/p>\n
