{"id":117689,"date":"2013-07-28T00:19:58","date_gmt":"2013-07-28T00:19:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2013\/07\/28\/students-spiritual-conference-underway\/"},"modified":"2013-07-28T00:19:58","modified_gmt":"2013-07-28T00:19:58","slug":"students-spiritual-conference-underway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2013\/07\/28\/students-spiritual-conference-underway\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Student\u2019s Spiritual Conference\u2019 underway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Hundreds of students and teachers came forward and accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior on the second day of \u2018Student\u2019s Spiritual Conference (SSC)\u2019 organized by likeminded people from churches, schools and colleges&nbsp; institutions, teachers, students\u2019 leaders and believers Saturday at NBCC Convention Centre, Kohima.<\/p>\n<p>Delivering the word of God, Pastor Ketou The\u00fcnuo said youth were being deceived by false promises, fear, hatred, world pleasures etc. which he said was the \u201cgifts of satan\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Stressing on the word satanism, Pastor said that the satanic worshippers would never deny the existence of God but they would also never believe in worshipping God adding that their main aim was to destroy the life of God\u2019s children.<\/p>\n<p>Terming, sex, money and power as the three most powerful things of satan worshipers, he also warned the students\u2019 to be aware of music and games as some of the singers were satanic worshippers who he said have sold their soul to satan.<\/p>\n<p>Stating that each individual was created \u201cwonderfully\u201d in God\u2019s own image, Pastor Ketou called upon the students to firstly seek the kingdom of God to find hope, righteousness, peace and joy adding that God would make everything beautiful in His own time<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Mhonchumo S. Lotha led the worship service while Oriental college and Alder College presented choral presentations.<\/p>\n<p>Highlights of the two-day programme include, teacher\u2019s seminar and students seminars wherein Reverend Thebemo Yanthan spoke on \u2018Morality of a teacher; leading by example\u2019 while Reverend Father George Rino spoke on&nbsp; \u2018Students rapport with parents, teachers and friends\u2019 as the resource persons.<\/p>\n<p>Associate professor Akok Walling and Pheluopfhelie Kesiezie spoke on \u2018Father\u2019s heart\u2019 and \u2018Science and God\u2019 during II-session as the resource persons respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The valedictory session of the conference would begin at 9 a.m. which would include musical extravaganza, valedictory session and worship service. <\/p>\n<p>Parliamentary secretary for justice and law, land revenue, labour and employment and ITI, Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire would deliver the greetings during the formal programme.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the organizers have invited all the parents and well wishers to attend the Sunday programme. <\/p>\n<p>The organizer has also informed congregation to arrive at the venue by 8:30 a.m. and that buses would be made available at the respective pick up points.
