{"id":117847,"date":"2016-07-12T23:42:09","date_gmt":"2016-07-12T23:42:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2016\/07\/12\/rc-to-continue-free-heart-surgeries\/"},"modified":"2016-07-12T23:42:09","modified_gmt":"2016-07-12T23:42:09","slug":"rc-to-continue-free-heart-surgeries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2016\/07\/12\/rc-to-continue-free-heart-surgeries\/","title":{"rendered":"RC to continue free heart surgeries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/><\/p>\n<div>Installation ceremony of the 45th board of directors of Rotary Club Dimapur (RCD) was held at Rotary Centre, Midland, Dimapur on July 9, with past Rotary International director and present chairman of Rotary India Literacy Mission, Rtn Shekhar Mehta as the chief guest cum installation officer.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>A press note by RCD secretary, Rtn Uttam Singh stated that during the programme, the chief guest informed that Rotary Internation would help Rotary Club Dimapur to continue its \u201cHeart to Heart\u201d programme under which children suffering from &nbsp;congenital heart diseases were operated free of cost. Rotary Club of Dimapur has been taking up the project of free heart operations of children for the last few years.<\/div>\n<div>It stated that at the installation ceremony, a new board for the year 2016-17, led by Rtn Neeraj Jain as president &amp; Rtn. Uttam Singh as secretary was installed by Rtn Shekhar Mehta. Rtn Shekhar Mehta also offered grants to open 50 e-learning centres as a part of Rotary India Literacy Mission to change the literacy scenario of the country.<\/div>\n<div>On this occasion, 4th Rotary Entrepreneur of the Year Award was given away to T.Jason Rengma of \u201cI Watch Security &amp; Allied Services\u201d Dimapur. This award was bestowed upon T Jason Rengma for his contribution to the community as an entrepreneur and in the process becoming a role model. Rotary Entrepreneur of the Year Award was instituted by Rotary Club of Dimapur to encourage entrepreneurship and is given to a first generation entrepreneur.<\/div>\n<div>Life Insurance Corporation of India, Dimapur Branch was recognized with Rotary Vocational Excellence Award under corporate category. LICI has been serving the people of Nagaland since last 40 years and was selected because of its contribution to the community for giving self-employment to a large number of people as Life Insurance Agents &amp; other social responsibilities activities. Branch manager LICI, W. Ruivah accepted the award on behalf of LICI Dimapur branch. This was followed by vocational recognition awards to 1) P. Demru sweeper, Dimapur Municipal Corporation. 2) Lohitson- electric lineman, 3) T.N.Lotha \u2013 postman 4) Hisule Keppen- head matron &nbsp; 5) Welhishe Letro- fireman.<\/div>\n<div>Outgoing president Rtn. Temsusenla Kichu, secretary Rtn Rakesh Kochar and treasurer Rtn Bajrang Bucha were also recognized for their services on this occasion.
