Acharya Friday reiterated that 68% of government teachers were proxy and only children of the weaker sections of the society attend government schools.<\/div>\n<div>Governor said this during two-day visit to Mon along with his wife.<\/div>\n<div>Interacting with civil societies, public leader and villagers, the governor, said education should not be centered for individual development but focused on development of the society and nation. In this regard, he suggested strengthening of the poorer section so that society could be strengthened.<\/div>\n<div>He also advocated for an empowered and sustainable educational sector in the state in strengthening and developing the society. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>On the concept of education, he said, \u201cIf you as individual is strengthened and become rich, the society do not become rich. Rather, if the society becomes strong and is strengthened, you are part of it and you are also strengthened\u201d.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>However, the governor said this concept was lacking in the education system.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He therefore, called upon students\u2019 organizations to be the pillar in strengthening the society, and appealed the students to change their mind set and raises the issues of unemployment, infrastructure development and corruption.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Governor also stressed on Yoga, which according to him was a preventive medicine, and not associated with any religion.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He said Yoga had been recognized in the international level as preventive medicine. Further, he emphasized on 3 E\u2019s- Education, Electricity and Employment, that was needed for development.<\/div>\n<div>On his first day, the governor visited Mon village and Mon Sub-jail, and interacted with the village elders, jail staff and the prisoners.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He also held meetings with civil societies, senior citizens, parents of children studying\/working outside Nagaland, district administration and head of departments.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Governor also interacted with the Bharat Scouts &amp; Guides and ex-servicemen. Earlier, public reception programme in honour of the governor was organized by the Konyak Union at Council Hall Mon Town.<\/div>\n<div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nagaland governor, P.B.
