Reports claim that the singer\u2019s mother Joan Callaghan is furious that her cheating former son-in-law may have wormed his way back into Cheryl\u2019s heart. The 27-year-old singer Monday told confidantes she will not rule out a reconciliation with the Chelsea and England footballer, 30, who had a string of affairs during their marriage. But Joan is said to have challenged her daughter\u2019s judgement, asking, \u2018How many times do you want your heart broken?\u2019 the Daily Mirror reports. Cheryl\u2019s family and friends believe that \u2018once a cheat, always a cheat &#8211; and Ashley will go and break her heart again,\u2019 a source told the paper. Close friends of Mrs Cole Monday night confirmed she returned to their \u00a35million marital home in Surrey three weeks ago to spend the evening with him. A source said the couple did not share a bed, but added: \u2018Who knows what is going to happen in the future with them\u2019? &nbsp;\u2018Ashley is a predator, he likes a challenge and Cheryl is so tired and emotional that she may just give in\u2019. &nbsp;\u2018He is the only man she has ever truly loved and that\u2019s a powerful thing \u2013 and Ashley knows how to play her like a violin\u2019. Joan is also understood to be furious with Derek Hough for seemingly abandoning Cheryl at her most vulnerable. Hough was a constant presence at Cheryl\u2019s side throughout her divorce and battle with malaria last year, but has disappeared from her life. Joan feels that in Derek\u2019s absence Cheryl has been forced to turn to Ashley for support. Mrs Cole\u2019s representatives are believed to be angered by talk of a reunion because she had promised not to see Cole.
