Fr. PC Thomas briefed on the life and history of Mar Gregorios or Parumala and said he should be the role model for all Christian communities in India.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He informed that Saint Mar Gregorios was the first canonized Christian saint from India and was ordained as Bishop at a young age of 29 in orthodox tradition.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>In his message, Fr. Thomas said Saint Mar Gregorios was a man of prayer and humble life and had dedicated his entire life for the development of the church and the people.<\/div>\n<div>Fr. Thomas also advised the followers to bear the cross, to wear the cross and to make the sign of the cross to reflect and represent Christ in their personal life.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He also asked the followers to be submissive to God with \u201cfear of God\u201d and try to do the things that will please God.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He also laid emphasis on love the God, as God desires that his people both fear and love him too.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Describing that \u201cpeace\u201d and \u201clove\u201d are two sides of a same coin, Fr Thomas urged the followers to work for peace and love in the society. \u201cIf you can give peace to others, then you will be a channel of blessings and peace for many,\u201d he added.<\/div>\n<div>A procession was also taken out to mark the occasion, where more than 300 Keralites took part singing and praising gospel songs.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>It was followed by a children\u2019s programme and love feast. A prayer session was also organised on the occasion.<\/div>\n<div>The Patron\u2019s Day celebrations began with Rev. Fr Philip Kuruvila hoisting the flag and Holy Qurbana in the evening of November 1.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>A prayer of cross tower was also organised on November 13. An evening prayer session was also conducted in the evening of November 14 which was followed by a procession and benediction.<\/div>\n<div>More than 350 Malayali, Keralite and people from other religious faith coming from Dimapur, Kohima and Zunheboto took part in the programme.<\/div>\n<div>It may be mentioned here that MGM Church has been running MGM HS School, which was set up in 1985, having 1,100 students from nursery to class XII.
