After months of speculation, David and Victoria Beckham have announced they have decided to call their little girl Harper Seven Beckham.
\nDavid confirmed the news on his Facebook page, after he and wife Victoria welcomed the baby, who weighed 7lb 10oz, at 7.55am Sunday morning.
\nThe footballer wrote: \u2018I am so proud and excited to announce the birth of our daughter Harper Seven Beckham. She weighed a healthy 7lbs 10oz and arrived at 7.55 this morning, here in LA\u2019.
\nThe Seven in the name is believed to be a reference to David\u2019s football number when he played for Manchester United and England, while the Harper could be referring to Harper\u2019s Bazaar magazine or perhaps To Kill A Mockingbird author Harper Lee.
\nA close friend of the couple said: \u2018Harper is an old English name something Victoria has always liked. Seven is a very lucky happy number and the baby was born just after 7am, in the seventh month.\u2019
\nFollowing the birth of the couple\u2019s fourth child, a spokesperson said: \u2018David and Victoria Beckham are delighted to announce the birth of their daughter\u2019.
\n\u2018Happy and healthy she arrived at 7.55 am this morning at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are excited to welcome their new baby sister to the family.\u2019
\nThe child was born by elected Caesarean, in the same way as her older children.
\nAnd a source told The Sun that David was so happy about the new arrival that he was literally crying with joy.
\nThe insider said: \u2018David has been crying with joy. They are all so happy.\u2019
\nThe pair are also said to be \u2018stunned\u2019 because the little girl looks so much like Victoria did when she was a baby.<\/p>\n
