\nThe diminutive 4\u2019 11\u2019\u2019 singer is famous for her heavily made up appearance and although the 65-year-old star favours a more casual look at home, she can\u2019t survive without her stilettos.
\nShe explained: \u201cIf you saw me at home you\u2019d recognise me but I don\u2019t have all the gaud, though I usually wear high heels because I\u2019m so short I can\u2019t even reach the kitchen cabinets without them.\u201d
\nHowever, Dolly would never consider leaving her home in Tennessee without her trademark heavy make-up or one of her famous wigs.
\nShe said: \u201cI always put on my make-up, my hair and my clothes to go shopping.\u201d
\nWhile Dolly has previously admitted to taking style tips from a prostitute, she is still shocked by the provocative clothing worn by younger pop stars.
\nShe added in an interview with Radio Times magazine: \u201cI\u2019m amazed at some of the things they get away with but I was outrageous before they were even born. I understand where they\u2019re coming from. You feel more on the inside than you look on the outside so if you\u2019re not a natural beauty you\u2019re going to have to make yourself look the way you think.\u201d<\/p>\n
