Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden\u2019s fourth eldest son, Omar, has said that he doesn\u2019t hold a grudge against United States President Barack Obama for his father\u2019s slaying. \nBin Laden, who had evaded capture for a decade, was killed with a \u201cdouble tap\u201d – a shot to his chest quickly followed by one above his left eye – during a top-secret US military operation ordered by Obama at his hideaway in Pakistan\u2019s Abbottabad city on May 2.
\n\u201cI don\u2019t hate Obama for killing my father. He did what he had to do. He was at war with my father. My father had spent his time and all the money he could get to fight his enemies. He was America\u2019s worst enemy,\u201d The Sun quoted Omar, as saying.
\n\u201cObama and Hillary Clinton did what they had to do, but they weren\u2019t smiling about it. People had been killed. Presidents Bush and Clinton had tried, but failed to kill my father. It has made Obama very popular,\u201d he added.
\nThe 30-year-old further said that he had expected that his father would be killed one day, but admitted that it was still a big shock.
\n\u201cI loved him, he was my father. I didn\u2019t agree with what he did – I only believe in peace – but that doesn\u2019t mean I couldn\u2019t love him as a father. I didn\u2019t cry, I never cry, I don\u2019t know why, but I don\u2019t,\u201d Omar said.
\n\u201cWhen I heard the news my whole life flashed through my mind like a movie. All the good and bad times, in Sudan and Afghanistan with my father when I was younger,\u201d he added.
\nThe Saudi-born terrorist, accused of being behind a number of atrocities, including the attacks on New York and Washington on 11 September 2001, was at the top of the US \u201cmost wanted\u201d list. <\/p>\n
