Two-day \u201cArt and Music Festival\u201d organized by Act of Kindness (AOK) in collaboration with North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) got underway at the latter\u2019s complex near Dimapur Airport, Saturday.<\/span><\/div>\n
Declaring the festival open,  NEZCC director Lipokmar Tzudir said the festival was a first of its kind which will serve as a huge benefit for the people of Nagaland as it could be a hub for all form of arts including performing arts, visual arts and entertaining arts.<\/div>\n
He called on the gathered artists to utilise their God given talents for the greater good of humanity.<\/div>\n
Apart from pursuing art as a profession, Lipokmar said there was also the need to responsibility that comes along with the art an individual performs and therefore the artists should make use of their talents to create public awareness on various burning issues especially like the pathetic road condition in Dimapur.<\/div>\n
He said, art was gift from God and the same should be used even for his glory. Lipokmar commended AOK for bravely pulling off the festival successfully and expressed hope that the festival would become an annual event.<\/div>\n
He also disclosed that NEZCC was on process of coming up with a portal where Naga painters can both display their works and also sell their finished products.<\/div>\n
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Adrian Mahong, keynote and welcome address was delivered by Lenti Aier. A song was presented by The Amazing Voice 2015 winner, Kavitoli Kiba and poems were read by Bobita Rai.<\/div>\n
During the interactive session following people shared with the gathering on their specific professions: Toshi Moa-guitar modes, Dr. Lanusangla Tzudir-writing and the loopholes, Limasangwa Aonok-modern art and Cynthia Kolakhe-art as an investment. <\/div>\n
The festival will culminate on October 25 with renowned painters working together on a painting which will later be put up for public viewing.<\/div>\n
Photography, art and poem galleries were put on display and interested buyers could avail the opportunity as the painting were priced by renowned Naga painter and artist at SASARD Limasangwa Aonok.<\/div>\n
