Ao Senden maintained that elected members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly should have in-depth knowledge and be well versed with aspects of Article 371 (A) for Nagaland as enshrined under the constitution of India.\nSpeaking at the 7th Aoli Pongen Mungdang under the theme \u2018Our Culture and Heritage\u2019 as chief guest at Aliba village, Friday, Ao Senden president Imolemba Jamir asserted, that the elected representatives ought to read and understand Article 371A in order to govern the state without confusion.
\n Imolemba further called on leaders of Tompok semchir to show the way forward, as their clan had done in the past so that Aos would be willing to follow. He also urged upon both the older and younger generations to preserve and promote Ao dialect and support the Ao Senden Literature Board in its endeavour to promote Ao dialect.
\n Earlier, short speeches were delivered by Imkonglemba Ao IAS, APC and Commissioner and Secretary and noted Mokokchung citizen, M Bendangnukshi Longkumer and President, Longpok Semchir Telongjen. Other highlights included folk songs presented by Salulamang Pongen kidong, Mokokchung Pongen Kidong and Aliba Pongentsur (Elangtsur). The key speaker of the programme was Guru Guru Sangyusang, GB, Ungma.
