In the programme, director of agriculture Bendangyanger spoke on the prevailing organic scenario of the state of Nagaland with merits and demerits of the external intervening agencies for the past few years. <br \/>\nBendangyanger stated that Nagaland farmers by default were purely organic since time immemorial and the farmers have been fully depended on their production which is free from all Hazardous chemicals. <br \/>\nLamenting on the benefits produced by the farmers, he said that farmers in Nagaland produce organic vegetables yet they are not benefitted.<br \/>\nHe said that farmer\u2019s organic produce must fetch better price in order to improve upon their system of Agriculture which will ultimately improve the living standard of our farmers in the state. Technical session was conducted by APPO Dr. James K.chawang as resource person who presented power point presentation on PGS, a farmer empowering approach, PGS National standards for Organic Production and PGS traceability system (wed portal).
