Konwar as chief guest and Dimapur Government College principal as special guest.<br \/>\nSpeaking on the occasion, the vice chancellor lamented that women education in North East and metropolitan cities in India were not encouraging. However, he expressed delight that in Nagaland there were 59% girls in education sector. <br \/>\nAsserting that there was no gender difference and inequality in education field, he said education institutions should provide quality service to equip and develop the students. <br \/>\nEmphasizing on unemployment problem faced by student after completion of college, he opined that universities and institutions should provide some capabilities for students to earn. <br \/>\nThe Vice Chancellor also suggested educational institutions to come up with community programmes in addition to book education for students to earn and employ themselves in a small way.<br \/>\nUniversity B.K. Konwar also reminded PWC authorities about the challenges and efforts to be made by the college for assessment and accreditation of NAAC. He further asked principal, teachers, alumnae and students to work collectively for silver jubilee of the college to be celebrated next year.<br \/>\nOn the occasion, PWC also felicitated principal of Dimapur Government College and executive member of NU Kuholi Chishi for her contribution as an outstanding Naga lady and role for womenfolk. <br \/>\nThe college honoured Chishi for her effort and determination in taking forward the education system in Nagaland to newer heights where education in this era has become the ultimate necessity for humanity.<br \/>\nThe college magazine \u201cPranab Vision\u201d and college journal was also released by vice chancellor and wall magazine and exhibition was by Kuholi Chishi.<br \/>\nThe programme was compered by assistant professor, department of education Ulla Laureen Fernandez, universal prayer song was presented by PWC students, introductory speech was delivered by joint secretary Swami Chinmayanandajee Maharaj and welcome address by PWC principal Uma Bhwmick.<br \/>\nOther highlight of the programme includes special song by Venulu, Sangtam folk song by PWC students and speeches on behalf of senior students and freshers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pranabanada Women\u2019s College (PWC) celebrated its 24th Fresher\u2019s social-cum-annual day here Thursday at the college campus with vice chancellor Nagaland University B.K.
