{"id":124391,"date":"2015-10-14T00:30:40","date_gmt":"2015-10-14T00:30:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2015\/10\/14\/ddtdwtu-seeks-basic-facilities-for-truckers\/"},"modified":"2015-10-14T00:30:40","modified_gmt":"2015-10-14T00:30:40","slug":"ddtdwtu-seeks-basic-facilities-for-truckers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2015\/10\/14\/ddtdwtu-seeks-basic-facilities-for-truckers\/","title":{"rendered":"DDTDWTU seeks basic facilities for truckers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Dimapur District Truck Drivers Welfare Trade Union (DDTDWTU) has reiterated its appeal to the district administration on basic facilities and requirements of the truck drivers under the district and those plying in and around the district.<br \/>\nIn a representation to the deputy commissioner (DC) Dimapur, the union president Kaiho Zhimo and general secretary Suren Atobo urged the administration to provide its members with basic requirements at the \u2018no entry zone\u2019 Chumukedima (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) such as toilet and bathroom with running water; boarding and lodging facilities; public information system and office; cafeteria and food facilities; emergency medical facilities; separate parking space unlike the existing roadside parking of trucks and security for the safety of drivers.<br \/>\nAlso, reiterating its appeal for providing proper parking facilities of trucks, union requested DC that specific fund from district allocation be earmarked annually for truck drivers welfare.<br \/>\nIt also sought immediate procurement of recovery van and ambulance exclusively for truck drivers. DDTDWTU maintained that at its general meeting on September 21, 2015 it was resolved to procure union\u2019s recovery van and ambulance. And as such, collection of voluntary welfare fund was carried out.
