\nMIP said appending signatures while attending any meeting cannot mean as having voted, agreed or disagreed with the proceedings or outcome of the meeting.
\nFurther, it said no discussion, deliberation or interaction took place at the meetings as it was confined only to Khehoi camp where a few regions (only Sumi region and Rengma region being represented by the region chairmen) were present. It said the meeting was mostly represented by ministries officials and 3rd brigade personnel, \u201cwho were handpicked only inside the meeting hall and were not even nominated.\u201d
\nMIP restated that the emergency meeting held at Khehoi on June 6 and 7 by contained glaring facts that rendered the meeting \u201cnull and void, inconsequential and uneventful to the NSCN\/GPRN\u201d.
\nThe outfit\u2019s MIP said the meeting was \u201chastily convened\u201d without the approval or presence of the president, vice president or even then service chief \u2018Gen.\u2019 Khole. The last named of who was elected \u201ceven without his consent or intimation\u201d besides being absent from \u201cthe drama taking place at Khehoi.\u201d
\nMIP said accused N. Kitovi Zhimomi, as then general secretary, of having pre-planned and summoned the emergency meeting by taking advantage of an \u201cunprepared\u201d and \u201cthreatened audience\u201d who only had to say \u201cyes and no\u201d to the impeachment of the president. Further, a general secretary, had no constitutional authority to summon national assembly or national emergency under any circumstances except the president.
\n The statement of the MIP expressed concern whether the \u201cKhehoi gang\u201d at its infancy as a new association would be regarded as a group by the government of India to extend cease fire with. It claimed, that as per international law-where there is no conflict or war, there cannot be cease fire or negotiation with the Khehoi group which was \u201cborn on 13th June 2011\u201d .
\nIt alleged that the Khehoi group was bereft of \u201cany history of conflicts or war with either the GoI forces or Myanmar juntas.\u201d MIP said it was left to the Khehoi group as to what political or historical basis would they confront the government of India,except as to act as the latter\u2019s \u201cstooge\u201d.
\nFurther MIP queried what agenda, policies and programs would the Khehoi group try to lead Nagas to \u201cand prolong its extortion drive\u201d.
\nMIP said the NSCN\/GPRN (K) as \u201can elderly and experienced political platform and people\u2019s government\u201d under Khaplang\u2019s leadership wished the Khehoi group \u201cearly self realization and successful career as an NGO on retreat and fund raising campaign, based at Khehoi until they could successfully form some kind of government for themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n
