{"id":12535,"date":"2011-08-03T01:52:48","date_gmt":"2011-08-03T01:52:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2011\/08\/03\/wsyf-responds-to-zyo-2\/"},"modified":"2011-08-03T01:52:48","modified_gmt":"2011-08-03T01:52:48","slug":"wsyf-responds-to-zyo-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2011\/08\/03\/wsyf-responds-to-zyo-2\/","title":{"rendered":"WSYF responds to ZYO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>In response to Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYO)\u2019s assertion that Zeliangrong Nagas, placed geographically in Assam, Manipur or Nagaland, were divided for administrative purposes but \u201care the same\u201d, the Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF) Tuesday said it was well aware that not only Zeliangrong people but other Naga people too were scattered outside Nagaland. <br \/>\nAdmitting that there were other Naga people in Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, the WSYF president K.K. Zhimomi and general secretary M.Chishi, in a joint statement, however claimed that entire populace of Beisumpuikam were \u201crefuges from Manipur who has no right come to Nagaland and create communal tensions among the Naga people.\u201d <br \/>\nThe youth front, to authenticate its claim, also invited any party\/group to verify the transfer certificates of the students from Beisumpuikam submitted to schools in and around Dhansiripar sub-division. \u201cMost of them are from schools in Manipur and Assam,\u201d the Western Sumi Youth Front claimed. <br \/>\nThe youth front pointed out that its restraint from retaliating to the harassment meted out to the Sumis passing through Beisumpuikam should not be misconstrued as Sumis being scared, adding \u201cSumis were never known to be scared of the Zeliangs and are not even now.\u201d<br \/>\nIt asked Zeliangrong Youth Front to realize that only a handful of Sumis passed through Beisumpuikam but there were larger number of Zeliangs passing through Sumi villages everyday \u201crather than mocking the Sumis by saying whether or not we are scared of passing through Beisumpuikam.\u201d<br \/>\nThe youth front said innocent Zeliang people should not be victimized for the \u201cfolly of some refuges at Beisumpuikam\u201d, and added that \u201cthis should not be viewed as threat but we are trying to express bare truth.\u201d<br \/>\nAlso, stating that Sumis have a tradition of showing extreme hospitality to outsider inside their villages, the WSYF said the same tradition would be applied to all the people, and further assured that not even a single person let alone Zeliang be harassed within any Sumi village. <br \/>\n\u201cThe Zeliangrong Youth Front should rest assured that all the Zeliang people shall be escorted safely through Sumi village,\u201d said the youth front but cautioned the Zeliangrong Youth Front not to \u201cmisinterpret our respect for other tribe as our meekness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n<font>For More Updates, follow us on &nbsp;<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/home.php?sk=group_122822574405511\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"outline:none\" rel=\"noopener\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cms.nagalandpost.com\/newsimages\/PhotosCollection\/BKDWMJOIYQWKXUNDBKXF.png\" alt=\"Facebook\" style=\"border:none\" \/><br \/>\n<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;and &nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/?q=nagaland+post#!\/nagalandpost90\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"outline:none;\" rel=\"noopener\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cms.nagalandpost.com\/newsimages\/PhotosCollection\/TWASKRLZSYMZWPFZERZS.png\" alt=\"Twitter\" style=\"border:none\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In response to Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYO)\u2019s assertion that Zeliangrong Nagas, placed geographically in Assam, Manipur or Nagaland, were divided for administrative purposes but \u201care the same\u201d, the Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF) Tuesday said it was well aware that not only Zeliangrong people but other Naga people too were scattered outside Nagaland.
