Altogether 32 awards and cash incentives would be given to sportspersons and coaches by His Excellency, the Governor of Nagaland, Nikhil Kumar and Chief Minister Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio.<\/p>\n<p>According to a press release issued by joint secretary, Nagaland Olympic Association, Abu Metha, selection of award recipients was finalized after recommendations from the state sports associations and forwarded by the Nagaland Olympic Association, which was then scrutinized by a screening committee comprising of state government officials and officials of the Nagaland Olympic Association.<\/p>\n<p>The joint secretary further added that the award ceremony is a joint effort of the department of youth resources and sports, Nagaland Olympic Association and Raj Bhavan Kohima and is based on the guidelies of the Ngaland Sports Policy.
