Hoikhe Hesso laid to rest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/MUACTYQXELQOLCQUZHXU.jpg>&nbsp;Sumi Hoho president Hoikhe Hesso was laid to rest at his private residence here following a grand funeral service held at the Sumi Baptist Church Friday.&nbsp; H. Hesso passed away July 26 after brief illness at his private residence at Upper Kenuozou colony, Kohima. He was 79. People in thousands attended the funeral service to pay their final respect.<\/p>\n<p>Speakers at the funeral acknowledged Hesso\u2019s role in ushering peace in the troubled torn Naga inhabited areas.<br \/>\nBorn soon after the WW-II started, Hesso, unlike many others, survived the turmoil period and eventually went on to lead Nagas at various capacities and emerged a champion of his times. Others who spoke at the funeral service also described Hesso as a \u201cvisionary Naga leader\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>Several Naga organizations, Naga political groups and NGOs who spoke at the funeral service, expressed their grief and sorrow at the demise of legendary Naga activist.<\/p>\n<p>Among those who spoke on the occasion included Naga Hoho president Keviletuo Kiewhuo, Nagaland Senior Citizens\u2019 Forum president Dr. SI Toshi,&nbsp; Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland general secretary Zakie Kirie, Nagaland Peace Centre, Kohima, Family Planning Association of India Centre Kohima, Kohima Old Age Home, Sumi Legislators Forum, Advisor Sumi LF, Angami Public Organization (APO), Chief patron SLF, Sumi Officer\u2019s Union, Nagaland, Sumi Kukami Hoho, Sumi Titomi Hoho, Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu, Kohima Sumi Hoho, Sumi Baptist Church, Kohima, Usutomi, Western Sumi Hoho, Welfare Board, Upper Kenuozou, Kohima, Sumi Hoho and from the family members of the deceased. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;Sumi Hoho president Hoikhe Hesso was laid to rest at his private residence here following a grand funeral service held at the Sumi Baptist Church Friday.&nbsp; H.
