Lanu Jamir informed the house about their department initiatives for the improvement of the said road.<\/div>\n<div>The SDPDB meeting was held on August 10 at the conference hall of ADC Office Tseminyu under the chairmanship of ADC Tseminyu, Vikhweno M. Meratsu.<\/div>\n<div>According to DIPR report, in the discussion, Rengma Hoho President, KenyusengTep sought clarification for the deteriorating road to which Er. Lanu Jamir clarified and said that a proposal for widening the road to two lane from Km 40.00 Km 72.00 of NH-02 has been submitted to the Ministry of Road, Transport and Highway by the Department and awaiting sanction.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Er. Lanu, however informed that house, that sanction is delayed due to technical observations raised by the Ministry. Regarding maintenance of the same road, he informed the house that jungle clearance and filling up of potholes with stone metals have been carried out at location Km 40.00 to Km 51.00 during June\/July 2015, but maintenance work could not satisfactorily done due to shortage of fund.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He said that the department has already set priority for repair of potholes in the stretches (NH-02, Km 40.00 to Km 72.00) from the month of October 2015.<\/div>\n<div>Arrangements for Independence Day celebration to be held at Tseminyu HQ on 15th August 2015 were also discussed in the meeting. ADC Tseminyu Vikhweno informed the members that ceremonial function for celebration of Independence Day will be held at Tseminyu ADC office compound.<\/div>\n<div>The meeting also deliberated on the performance of GHS in HSLC exam in Tseminyu Sub-division and in this matter ADC Tseminyu Vikhweno stressed on the importance of teaching during the child\u2019s pre-primary period and pre-high school period. ADC therefore, urged upon the department of Social Welfare\/CDPO and School education to activate their Anganwadi workers and primary teachers respectively in the sub-division to shoulder their responsibility, because a child needs proper foundation for education.
