Khumo on July 2 met joint secretary for Ministry of Home Affairs, Shambo Singh at his office North Block, New Delhi.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>In the meeting, Khumo asked the Ministry to look into the village guards\u2019 salary, since till date the village guards are paid as wages.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Khumo was of the view that as uniform man they should be paid on monthly salary basis and not in \u201cmere wages\u201d.<\/div>\n<div>The parliamentary secretary also requested the Ministry to add more village guards in all the new villages in the International Border.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Parliamentary Secretary land revenue, village guards and woman resources development, Nagaland L.
