He maintained that their selfless sacrifice for shaping and moulding the students to become responsible in the society was now bearing fruits. Calling on the teachers to rededicate and renew their passion and zeal towards their profession, the chief guest also urged the head teachers to submit the list of proxy teachers to SDEO, Bhandari.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>ADC, Bhandari, T. Nchumbemo Odyuo in his short speech appreciated SDEO for organizing the programme and also the schools under SDEO Bhandari for their co-operation.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Others who spoke included LLRSU president, Lichamo Kikon, GHSS teacher Rembemo and Limatula, student of DBHSS. The programme was chaired by PT, GMS, N. Easther Odyuo. Vice principal, DBSS Bhandari, Rev. Fr, Obed, said the invocation prayer and SDEO, Bhandari, C. N Dominic said the welcome address. PT, GMS, Akuk N, presented a special number and co-ordinator, EBRC, Bhandari, pronounced the vote of thanks.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>KDLSA: Kohima District Legal Services Authority (KDLSA) inaugurated mini library at Kohima orphanage home on September 5.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Inaugurating the library, Nino Iralu, member secretary NSLSA and special judge, TDP Vigilance, stressed on the importance of library and that the library was inaugurated to impart more education and also to make use of the library and make learning more expandable.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>She explained about the POCSO Act 2012 and cautioned the children to be more aware of sexual offences.<\/div>\n<div>Victo Sema, chief judicial magistrate and secretary KDLSA in keynote address said that the legal services authority imparted awareness on law like child rights, women rights, consumer rights, giving legal assistance in one own locality by drafting petition, and seeking beneficiaries on different schemes under NSLSA schemes.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Secretary also urged the children to love and respect their teacher and elders as teachers were the backbone of the society.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Neibanuo Angami, proprietor of the orphanage home Kohima, thanked the KDLSA for their initiatives. Documentary film on POCSO Act 2012 was screened.<\/div>\n<div>Mini library donated by the KDLSA contained books from all sources like educational, storybooks, spiritual and also legal services leaflets which is translated into local dialects.<\/div>\n<div>Special song was presented by children of the orphanage and opening remark was delivered by Apila Sangtam, panel lawyer KDLSA.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>KDLSA: Kiphire District Teachers day celebration was organized by DEO in collaboration with Kiphire District Legal Services Authority (KDLSA) at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall Kiphire.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Mezivolu T Therieh, chief judicial magistrate and secretary KDLSA as chief guest highlighted role of teachers in protecting the rights of children.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Secretary asked the teachers not only to teach well and manage the class effectively but also to be a person who inspired through words and deeds.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>She also gave away District Award to 10 teachers- K. SeponglaSangtam, PT of GHSS YanphiKiphire, RavindraPratab Singh, GT of GHS Seyochung village, T. HopiseSangtam, PET of GHS Sitimi town, MegosieliePunyu, PGT of GHSS Kiphire, Rev. Sr. Teslin (Joemol),AHM of LFS Pungro, Ram PratapMaurya, GT of GHS Salomi, Sanjay Prasad, PGT of GHS Pungro, Tsulemthong,PT of GHSS Anatongre, TsalimongSangtam, PT of GPS Longmatra and Ramji Singh, GT of GMS Zhimkiur.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Hikabo K Sumi, GHSS Kiphire delivered importance of the day.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Merit Student Award 2017 was given to one student by Kiphire District Private School Association (KDPSA). Group song was presented by El. Beth School Kiphire, and entertainment by Saramati Modern School Kiphire.<\/div>\n<div>Trinity School Kiphire sang welcome song, choreography by Good Shepherd School Kiphire and special number by GHS Yangphi Kiphire, A documentary film was screened on Right to Education Act.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>WOKHA: Common Teacher\u2019s Day celebrated Wokha in collaboration with Wokha District Legal Services Authority (WDLSA) at GHSS auditorium.<\/div>\n<div>Col. Litton Dhar, commandant 28 AR was the chief guest at the celebration. Short speech was delivered by WDLSA, while greetings was delivered by T. Chonpenthung Odyuo. Significance of teacher\u2019s day was pronounced by Thungjano T Tsanglao, and special prayer for the teachers by Zubenthung. Special song was presented by students of LMS and students of GHSS Wokha.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Meanwhile, Mon District Legal Services Authority (MDLSA) celebrated at Government High School Totok Chingnyu village, Peren District Legal Services Authority (PDLSA) celebrated at GMD Old Jalukie Village and Tuensang District Legal Services Authority &nbsp;celebrated at Baptist School Tuensang village, where secretary TDLSA, N. Kano spoke on free and competent legal services and activities of DLSA while, master trainer NSLSA, Cheliam spoke on child rights. &nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>BCTE: Bosco College of Teacher Education (BCTE), Dimapur celebrated the day in the college auditorium on Sept 5. Principal of the college, Rev. Fr. Dr. T C Joseph underscored the crucial and significant role of the teachers in the society and reminded all the staff and the teacher trainees to love their profession with passion, dedication, and integrity as the teaching profession is one of the most noble and responsible professions. The day was also the memorial feast of St. Mother Teresa of Kolkata, the august assembly was reminded of the inspiring and exemplary life of the \u201cSaint of the gutters\u201d. Earlier, celebrations began with the lighting of the lamp. There was music, dance, speeches and multi-media programmes.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Phek inter-schools: Phek town inter-school in collaboration with the district education office and sub-divisional education office, Phek held a combined teachers\u2019 day, with deputy commissioner of Phek, Kovi Meyase as guest speaker. He encouraged the teachers to impart the students with values such as perseverance and hard work, honesty, dedication, determination and respect. The programme was chaired by Neichulou Tsuzu, SDEO, Phek while Nuthitalu Luruo, headmistress, CHS invoked God\u2019s blessing. 12 (twelve) district teacher awardees were facilitated. The certificates were given away by Nuchisalu Khesoh, DDEO Phek. There were also special items from all the schools.<\/div>\n<div>RJHSS: Ram Janaki Higher Secondary School (RJHSS) Dimapur celebrated the day with higher secondary section performing cultural programme, dance and song, while principal, H.P. Gupta highlighted the ceremonial occasion and thanked the children for honouring the teachers in special manner.The programme was chaired by chairman of the school managing committee, Bhabuti Rai.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>GPPK: Gorkha community, Kohima celebrated teachers\u2019 day on September 5 at Gorkha public panchayat hall, Chandmari, Kohima, organised by Gorkha Public Panchayat Kohima (GPPK) in collaboration with the sister Gorkha organizations. GPPK president, Santu Thapa lauded the efforts of teachers in imparting qualitative education and bringing laurels to Gorkhas in general.<\/div>\n<div>Retired teacher and state teacher\u2019s awardee (1999), Gayatri Devi urged in-service teachers not to be complacent but to be humble and help younger generation become good assets for the society. In-service teacher and head master of Ministers\u2019 Hill Baptist Higher Secondary School, Samir Thapa also added that the present generation teachers needed to be prepared for challenges faced in the world of information technology. Senior leader, BB Rai and Nagaland Gorkha Association (NGA) general secretary, PK Thapa also exhorted the gathering. Programme was chaired by Gorkha Students Union Kohima (GSUK) president Megraj Lama.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>TGSU: A combined teachers\u2019 day celebration was held at Tesophenyu community hall on September 5 under the theme, \u201cteachers\u2019 affect eternity\u201d organised by Tesophenyu Group Students\u2019 Union (TGSU).<\/div>\n<div>Resource person, VAS, SDVO in-charge Tseminyu, Dr. Gwazenlo Tep reminded that teachers play a critical role in moulding the personality of students.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>GHST,GMSTU and DBST along with individual teachers were felicitated for sub-divisional and district educational awards &nbsp;(2013 &amp; 2014) for increased enrolment and infrastructure, enhanced performance in HSLC with nil-free result ever since 2002, consecutive cent percent result in HSLC (2016 &amp; 2017) and admirable contribution in the field of education at the grass roots level.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Earlier, the programme was hosted by students from DBST, Sole Magh and Nenchu Jemu, an invocation was pronounced by TUBC Pastor Obed Magh while Pastor Shayhun Tsela pronounced mass benediction.
