Along with the rest of the world, people in Nagaland also expressed their love to fathers on Father\u2019s Day by celebrating the auspicious day in various ways. To mark the day, different churches around the state also organized special services for the fathers.<\/div>\n
KOHIMA: Poumai Baptist church Kohima (PBCK) celebrated Father\u2019s Day under the theme \u201ca dynamic father\u201d with PBCK women chairperson Esther as the speaker on Sunday worship service.<\/div>\n
In her message, Esther said as per the scripture \u201cfathers are the head of the family and fathers should use that gift and wisdom of God to look after the family\u201d. <\/div>\n
She said father should stand firm in the Lord like Job in the Bible and also reminded the fathers that unless they fear God, the children and wife will not bear good fruit.<\/div>\n
  Esther challenged the fathers to take charge of the God given authority to look after the family in the right way. She also shared the responsibilities and task of a God fearing father as a Christian.<\/div>\n
The worship service was led by Heniiru, invocation prayer was said  by Mate, special songs dedicated to the fathers were presented by BYF, women society and Sunday school children, father\u2019s ode recitation by Mercyna and Talu, offertory prayer by Savihrii, scripture reading by Stevenson and benediction prayer by Rohnai. The youth members also distributed gifts to the fathers present in the church.        (Correspondent)<\/div>\n
St Francis Xavier\u2019s Church Kidima:  St Francis Xavier\u2019s Church Kidima under Diocese of Kohima celebrated Fathers\u2019 Day with director of Eden, Khuzama, India Reverend Father Raymond D\u2019 Souza SJ as main celebrant on Sunday at Church premises.<\/div>\n
Reverend Father Raymond D\u2019 Souza SJ in the introduction of the Fathers\u2019 Day asked the faithful people to honour and pray for their fathers and continue to bless by God. <\/div>\n
Father in his homily said day to day life is not an easy task where one has to face the challenges like quarrel, temptation and anxiety. He however said one should keep faith in Jesus who is with \u201cus\u201d all the time and the solution of the problem. <\/div>\n
The father\u2019s responsibility suffers from money for children and worry for family\u2019s management, in return give respect, love and care to their fathers, he said. <\/div>\n
Sharing the body and blood of Jesus Christ from the chalice, anointment of sick people, special number was presented by Kidima Catholic Youth Association followed by fellowship meal.  Franciscan Sisters of Saint Mary of the Angels (FSMA) and large number of faithful people joined in the daylong celebration. <\/div>\n
MHC: Father\u2019s Day was celebrated Sunday at Mary Help of Christians (MHC) Cathedral with vicar general, diocese of Kohima Reverend Fr. Carolus Neisalhou delivering the Eucharistic celebration speech. <\/div>\n
In his massage, Rev. Fr. Neisalhou said, \u201cwe need to accommodate Jesus in the boat of our life.  All of us are making an expedition across the sea of time to the shore of eternity\u201d.  <\/div>\n
He exhorted that it was only natural occasionally to experience different types of violent storms in \u201cour\u201d lives: physical storms, emotional storms, and spiritual storms.  \u201cWe face storms of sorrow, doubt, anxiety, worry, temptation and passion\u201d he added. <\/div>\n
He said that only Jesus can still these storms in us and liberate us and encouraged the need to trust in God to let right things happen.<\/div>\n
Earlier, the programme was anchored by Florence Luho while speech on behalf of the parishioners was delivered by Vizonovo Janet and Roviseno Rosy presented a special item. More than 200 pocket metal crosses were presented as special gifts to the fathers. Speech on behalf of the fathers was delivered by Zekrol Michael. The solemn celebration was concelebrated with Rev.
