He asked the youths not to hesitate in rendering their service to peace building and community development process.<\/div>\n<div>The ADC also encouraged the trainees to implement the knowledge and experience they have obtained from the training by conducting awareness in rural areas.<\/div>\n<div>He was also optimist that the youths present in the programme would bring a profound change in the district.<\/div>\n<div>District co-ordinator Lakshman highlighted the objectives of the programme and said that it has been designed to enable the youths to take lead in addressing social and development issues, community welfare and peace building.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He also announced District Nursery Farmer Association as the best club for the session 2016-17 and handed over a cash prize of Rs. 25000.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The first day of the training programme was attended by over 30 youth leaders from the district with N. Albert Krochou as the resource person.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>LONGLENG: A district youth convention cum cultural programme was held at DC\u2019s Conference Hall, Longleng by NYK Longleng on Tuesday.<\/div>\n<div>Speaking as chief guest, SDO (C) Longleng, Japheth Woch exhorted the gathering to be active and responsible to bring about positive changes in the society. He said youth could play a vital role in \u201cliberating the stagnant society\u201d and take it to \u201cbrighter heights\u201d.<\/div>\n<div>Talking on the unemployment problem in Nagaland, the SDO (C) asked youths not to only depend on government jobs but to be self employed and also create avenues for others.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He said to successful in life one should be willing to labour hard and be committed. Woch called upon the youths to change their mindset of dependency and instill sense of responsibility and hard work.<\/div>\n<div>Delivering a key note address, DYC, NYK, Mokokchung, John Makhabo, highlighted the aims and objectives of NYK in channelizing and harnessing youth potentials towards nation building activities.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>He also called upon the youth to dedicate themselves for the development of villages and towns. Makhabo also asked the participants to avail government offers of free skill development training in various departments and get trained to take up entrepreneurship with MUDRA Scheme and Starup India.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The programme was chaired by NYV Sunglei, NYV Naiglong invoked God\u2019s blessing and NYV Thenyei NYV welcomed the gathering while vote thanks was delivered by NYV Langmai.<\/div>\n<div>Cultural items were presented by Five Star Club and Unitas Yout Club. Best Youth Club Award 2016 was given to United Rising Club, Sakshi with cash award of Rs. 25,000 and sport materials were given to NYK, affiliated youth clubs.<\/div>\n<div>DIMAPUR: One day training on youth leadership and development was conducted by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) Dimapur, in collaboration with the Young People\u2019s Fellowship (YPF) with 30 participants on March 13.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The United Nations volunteer and co-ordinator of the district NYKS, Phyobemo Lotha encouraged the young people that this was an avenue for them to get trained in small ways, through varied activities which would ultimately help them become confident leaders.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Others who spoke to the young people included Alobo Naga, who encouraged the young people to become able leaders by identifying their gift and abilities groomed with hard work and faith in God. &nbsp;K. Thenjamo Tsanglao, associate pastor Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur, spoke on the importance of personality development.
