{"id":130372,"date":"2015-06-13T00:50:06","date_gmt":"2015-06-13T00:50:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2015\/06\/13\/yitachu-nukhu-address-dpdb-phek-meeting\/"},"modified":"2015-06-13T00:50:06","modified_gmt":"2015-06-13T00:50:06","slug":"yitachu-nukhu-address-dpdb-phek-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2015\/06\/13\/yitachu-nukhu-address-dpdb-phek-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"Yitachu, Nukhu address DPDB Phek meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/MUCHIITPRYPJVVWOTYGK.jpg><\/p>\n<div>Monthly meeting of Phek District Planning &amp; Development Board (DPDB) was held at DPDB conference hall, Phek on June 10 under the chairmanship of minister for school education, SCERT &amp; chairman DPDB, Phek, Yitachu.<\/div>\n<div>Addressing the meeting, the minister said that there was a need to sustain \u201cour governance for betterment of our society.\u201d According to an official bulletin, Yitachu called upon the people to change their attitude, mindsets and thoughts.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Asserting Nagaland continued to be overburdened with excess employees, where major portion of the state fund was spent on salary, the minister said that it was time for the people of the state to stand on their own feet as the state cannot afford to depend solely on the government of India for funding various projects of the state. \u201cGovernment jobs have reached a saturation point in Nagaland,\u201d he said.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Also, emphasising on the importance of conserving forest and water, Yitachu said to achieve that there was a need to impart the message to the people to be responsible.<\/div>\n<div>Parliamentary secretary for higher education, new &amp; renewal energy, Deo Nukhu, who also addressed the meeting, highlighted his recent visit to various colleges of Nagaland. He said there was a need to be change in many areas for upliftment of younger generation.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Nukhu said people of the district need to thank the present government for allocating the entire education sector to the legislators of Phek district. He also stated that students should focus on job oriented courses.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Harping on the importance of water and power supply, he called for the need to conserve environment. Further, Nukhu also appealed to the attendees to take care of government properties.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>At the meeting, the board welcomed new members &#8212; ADC Pfutsero, Sangmai C.Imlong, SDO(E) Phek, Er. Albert Ovung, SDO(E), Pfutsero, Er.Oren S.Ovung, and SDO (SC), Chozuba Kepfushe Kath. District cultural officer (DCO) Phek, Teisovikulie Therie, presented departmental activities.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>Meanwhile, the board agreed to consider purchase of Ambulance Vehicle for Indian Red Cross Society, Phek Branch from the LADP fund 2015-16, which would be managed by IRCS, Phek Branch.<\/div>\n<div>Meeting also approved the recommendation of the district level selection committee for cleanest villages and colonies. Accordingly, the following villages\/colonies including Pfutseromi, Enhulumi, Chozuba, Mokie and Phek were declared as the cleanest villages.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The following colonies in the district HQ Phek namely, Hebron-I, Hebron-II, Bethany-I were selected as the cleanest colonies. They will be awarded cash prize with certificate of appreciation in the next DPDB meeting.<\/div>\n<div>As directed by the government for contribution of one day wage for Nepal earthquake victims, the board asked the district heads of offices to collect the same and submit to the deputy commissioner\u2019s office before the next DPDB meeting.<\/div>\n<div>Further, board recommended CHC Meluri for extension of the present 10 bedded to 30 bedded to cater to the needs of the patients and for construction of 2 nos of quarters for Doctors and 8 nos. of quarters for Nurses at Meluri. Setting up of a Trauma centre at Meluri was also recommended.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>With regard to the proposal for reconstruction of X-Ray room and Dark room at CHC Meluri and repairing of Medical Staff Quarter at Meluri, the board said the proposals will be compiled and taken up during the finalization of LADP 2015-16.<\/div>\n<div>The meeting also recommended setting up of Police outpost at Razeba, EAC HQ as there were frequent movement of unwanted elements reportedly involved in peddling of drugs and other restricted goods passing through Razeba from Ukhrul and Senapati districts of Manipur.<\/div>\n<div>Meanwhile, the meeting decided to entrust industries &amp; commerce and urban development department to present their departmental activities in the next DPDB meeting.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Monthly meeting of Phek District Planning &amp; Development Board (DPDB) was held at DPDB conference hall, Phek on June 10 under the chairmanship of minister for school education, SCERT &amp; chairman DPDB, Phek, Yitachu.
