{"id":13043,"date":"2011-08-24T02:13:29","date_gmt":"2011-08-24T02:13:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2011\/08\/24\/truck-drivers-owners-appeal-to-manipur-home-ministerc\/"},"modified":"2011-08-24T02:13:29","modified_gmt":"2011-08-24T02:13:29","slug":"truck-drivers-owners-appeal-to-manipur-home-ministerc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2011\/08\/24\/truck-drivers-owners-appeal-to-manipur-home-ministerc\/","title":{"rendered":"Truck drivers, owners appeal to Manipur home ministerc"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Coordination Committee of Owners, Drivers and Motor Workers Union Assam, Nagaland and Manipur has appealed to the Home Minister, Manipur to allow the safe return of 35 trucks from Assam and Nagaland which have been stranded at Kankopi, Manipur for more than a month due to the ongoing strike called by the local residents. <\/p>\n<p>In a press statement general secretary coordination committee Manohar Singh stated that the drivers and handymen of the stranded trucks have been passing their days in starvation and fear as the vehicles are lying unsafe in isolated places along NH-39. <\/p>\n<p>Further, the union stated that in this circumstances, if no step is being taken by the state government of Manipur then the lives of drivers and handymen would be in danger, while the owners of the trucks would suffer irreparable loses.
