Centennial jubilee celebration of Government High School, Dilong, Mokokchung was held on August 26 at Town Hall, Mokokchung with director school education, Nagaland, Khevito Sema and MLA Toshipokba as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.<\/p>\n
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest expressed appreciation to all the past and present individuals for the contribution and sacrifice made in achieving the milestone.
\nHe said educational institution is a place where the future generation is shaped and nurtured to become responsible citizens and as such it was the bounded responsibility of every teacher to be sincere and dedicated in imparting quality education.<\/p>\n
Expressing concern over issues pertaining to the department, he pointed out that concrete approach was needed to set things in right direction.
\nToshipokba in his speech saluted the pioneers for their vision in setting up the institution wherein for the past hundred years has produced luminaries in many fields. He also urged the gathering to reflect the past achievements and march ahead with new vision.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the centenary theme \u201cNourriture for tomorrow\u201d, Rev. Ponen stated that nurturing was a process of development and growth of a child with fostering care and dedication.
\nHe maintained that children were the most treasured assets of the society and quality education was needed for their holistic development as an individual.
