{"id":13166,"date":"2011-08-27T01:42:01","date_gmt":"2011-08-27T01:42:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/151.106.38.4\/2011\/08\/27\/village-councils-refute-news-item\/"},"modified":"2011-08-27T01:42:01","modified_gmt":"2011-08-27T01:42:01","slug":"village-councils-refute-news-item","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nagalandpost.net\/index.php\/2011\/08\/27\/village-councils-refute-news-item\/","title":{"rendered":"Village councils refute news item"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img src=\/old_site\/>Medziphema village council (MVC) has clarified the news report which appeared in the local dailies on August 25 in which Kohima police arrested 3 extortionists from BOC area Kohima.<br \/>\nThe village council president, Rokovo Kuotsu and general secretary Neisakuolie Siam clarified that the third arrested person one Zhalie S\/o Lhoubeilie does not belong to Medziphema village.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cZhalie s\/o Lhoubeilie is a total stranger to us and that neither he nor any of his family is an inhabitant member of our village\u201d, added MVC.&nbsp; In this regard, the village council urged the authority responsible to immediately take note of the clarification and take action against the said person for impersonation and malicious statement. <\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the council also demanded Zhalie to immediately tender unconditional apology to the village council for trying to damage and malign the name of the village. Failing which, the council said it would not he held responsible for any actions befalling \u201cyou\u201d at any time. Padumpukhuri Village Council (PVC) also refuted the news item where one SS sectional officer of NNC identified as Katoho Achumi (24) son of Tovishe Achumi from Yezashi Village, Zunheboto, was arrested in connection with extortion.
