In a press release, press and media cell, NVCO said there were complaints that as against fixed the retailer rate fixed by KMC at Rs.35, retailers were selling onion from Rs.40 to Rs.50 per kg.<\/div>\n<div>The organization stated that prevailing Dimapur wholesale rate of onion was Rs.24 per kg without raising the price either wholesale or retail rate.<\/div>\n<div>NVCO appealed to all consumers to be more alert and not to pay more than Rs.35 per kg of onion to the retailer in Kohima markets. It stated that no consumer should allow such artificial rise in price in the market so as the KMC. &nbsp;NVCO demanded the rights of the consumers should be honoured and disallow any trader to charge more than KMC retailer rate.
