Kanito, Ex-MLA, who passed away on May 11 at Dimapur.<\/div>\n<div>In a condolence message, communication cell, Naga Hoho saluted late Dr.Kanito, who, it stated was a founding member of the apex body, chairman of the drafting committee for the constitution of the same. Naga Hoho also acknowledged his immense contribution for the prosperity and all round development of the Nagas. The Hoho prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace and the bereaved family to find solace.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>SKK: All S\u00fcmi Students\u2019 Union (SKK) has extended profound condolences at the sad demise of Dr.V.C Kanito, the former president of SKK (1969-1970), the erstwhile \u2018Sema Students\u2019 Conference\u2019.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>In a condolence message, SKK president Holuvi Chophy and general secretary Kakuto Awomi said he was the first among the Nagas to be conferred the Doctorate Degree in Philosophy in the year 1980. Describing him as a man of vision and a dynamic leader, SKK said Dr. Kanito dedicated his life for unity and integrity amongst all the Naga brothers and sisters. He also worked for peaceful solution towards Naga political problem and bringing together various warring factions into one fold, stated SKK. The prayed Almighty grant solace to the bereaved family and his soul to rest in peace.<\/div>\n<div>Meanwhile, SKK has requested all the S\u00fcmi community to observe one minute silent prayer in remembrance of the departed soul.<\/div>\n<div>GPRN\/NSCN kilonser: GPRN\/NSCN senior kilonser Akato Chophi has mourned the demise of Dr. V. C. Kanito who passed away on May 11.<\/div>\n<div>In his condolence message, Chophi said late Dr. Kanito was an eminent scholar who served the Nagas and particularly the S\u00fcmis in various capacities and dedicated his entire life in serving the people of Nagaland.<\/div>\n<div>GPRN\/NSCN senior kilonser while expressing deep pain over the death of Dr. Kanito said that the void created by his demise will be hard to fill and he will be missed dearly by the Nagas.<\/div>\n<div>Chophi conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and especially his three children and prayed Almighty grant them strength at this hour of grief and eternal peace to the departed soul.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Naga Hoho: Naga Hoho has mourned the demise of Dr. V.C.
